Student life in Ukraine does not differ a lot from that in other European countries.   1. Cost of living in Ukraine

National currency in Ukraine is Hryvnia (UHR). 1 USD = 27 Hryvnia. Payment for purchasing and services is done in hryvnias, nevertheless, some companies take payments in USD.

The cost of living is a lot cheaper than most other European cities. To live comfortably in Ukraine, an average student can survive on $150 to $250 dollars a month. This includes but not limited to food, transport and clothing.

Guide to higher education in Ukraine

 Ukrainian education is considered to be one of the best in the world given it’s long and rich history. Higher educational institutions in Ukraine were first established in the 17th century and even then attracted students from all over the world. Experienced teachers and professors, a great diversity of specialties and European standards of quality make Ukrainian education popular among students worldwide.

In 2005, Ukraine joined the Bologna Process which is a positive step towards integrating Ukrainian education into the European Higher Education Area.

Ukrainian higher education institutions provide courses in Ukrainian, Russian or English. International students have the opportunity to study in more than 240 higher education institutions and gain specializations in different scientific fields. Every year, higher educational institutions welcome students from more than 150 countries.

Foreigners can enroll in higher educational institutions with accredited educational programs the following ways:

2) during the year for postgraduate studies, doctoral studies, clinical studies, medical residency, the preparatory faculty program and the academic mobility program
